Over the course of my life, I've been a part of so many fades and phases that I can barely keep track of them all. One thing that I've noticed, by watching TV (which is not the most accurate portrayal of humanity or their thoughts) is that people in shows always have a definitive purpose. They always have things that they love, and they know what they love, and it defines a part of them. It made me wonder if I had something that I truly loved. What fads or things that I had been a part of made me who I am today, and which ones make up a core part of me.There were many things in my childhood that I thought I loved, or knew very well, but in looking back, I find that I don't know them as well as I thought I did, despite having devoted so much time and energy to that particular pursuit. My goal now is to create a list of things that I have enjoyed, and will potentially enjoy, so I can figure out what it is exactly that I want to do with my life, and where I can generate the most enjoyment. If I can't find a job doing something I love, then I want to at least enjoy my free time to the best of my ability. Things I love
There are so many things that I apparently enjoy, but I know very little about most of them. I'm going to try and narrow down what it is I love most, and try to focus my energy on that. I'll give each topic a month, so hopefully within two years, I'll have decided what it is I want to spend my life doing.

Keep the bunny away! The park is a lovely place to go for a picnic. Often, people would take their pets to enjoy a leisurely afternoon in an environment full of nature. Mistvale park was known better for something else, however. It also possessed a maze that was perpetually filled with white fog, causing newcomers to become lost for quite some time. Fortunately, over time, one could become accustomed to the paths, as they did not change. It could actually be quite relaxing, as it made you feel as though you were in your own, quiet, little world. There was, of course, one other little issue with the maze. Though I suppose, in this case, you would say it's a rather huge issue, instead of a small one. There was a creature known to wander about the maze. It was typically not seen by humans, but there were a number of animals found in a rather unfortunate state from time to time. On this one particular afternoon, a young couple was enjoying a picnic within the maze with their two rabbits. Suddenly, a young rabbit darted out towards them from the wall of fog surrounding their little camp. The couple was surprised; they had heard the rumours of what happened to unsupervised animals within the maze, and this rabbit appeared to be quite young. They assumed that the rabbit must, then, belong to someone, so they began to pack their things and their rabbits, to head to the clearing where the majority of people preferred to picnic. The young lad had packed the last of their supplies, as the young lady gathered up the rabbits in her arms, when they heard some large, thundering footsteps. Ensuring that all the rabbits were indeed gathered on her person, the couple waited to see what this noise was. In a few moments, clearing through the fog, was a large beast. A Tyrannosaurus Rex, to be precise. Apparently, this was the beast that enjoyed wandering around the maze, and eating the animals that got lost. The beast saw the rabbits first, and began to hungrily walk towards the couple, when it realized what was holding them. It paused, a tad confused, and examined the scene. The girl, never one to back down when it came to her rabbits, quite firmly told the T-Rex, "No. These are not for you. They have people who love them, and they are not to be eaten. Go along now, turn around and leave these bunnies be." Even more confused, the T-Rex hung its head sadly, and walked back into the fog. The young couple made their way to the exit, ever conscious of the quiet booming sounds that they occasionally heard behind them. Having finally cleared the maze, the couple released the three rabbits onto the grass, and began to inquire as to the owner of the small, young rabbit. At first, people were quite kind and relatively amused by the efforts of the young couple, but the mood quickly shifted. It turned out that the T-Rex did not want to leave his prey behind, and had finally emerged from the maze. to be continued... |
