Administrative staff at College is extremely rude.Completely unrelated to gaming, but still a facet in my daily life. I attend college on a moderately regular basis, and have lately found that the staff that is there to support students is extremely unhelpful and downright rude.
They will stand and chat with coworkers for minutes on end, instead of dealing with students that require their attention, and treat said student with contempt and disdain should they dare to draw attention to themselves in even the meekest fashion. If there is an issue where the student does not have all the information, they will not aid said student either; they will simply mock the student to their face about the situation and why they appear to be so unprepared. Despite having a computer in front of them that has access to sources that could help solve the issue, they choose to ignore any and all resources, and then get exasperated with said student when they return with information. What happened to me today is simply one time where the same set of staff have been inexplicably rude. I tend to miss some classes due to a physical injury suffered 2+ years ago that has turned into chronic pain, and have to wear an arm splint occasionally when the pain gets to be so severe that I cannot use one of my arms. As a result, I cannot attend typing classes, as I cannot type and do the work. Before I even had a chance to explain why I did not know my teacher's name (poor memory on top of moderate attendance), the staff member began insinuating that I was wasting her time and began mocking my current situation. I wound up leaving the situation, as it turns out my teacher may not even have submitted the information, which is another testament to the wonderful skill set and professionalism that I have come to expect from this College. When you're being paid to do a job, please remember that you have a job to do. If there are people there, you need to serve them to the best of your abilities. If your abilities are insufficient to meet the demands, perhaps it is time you found another occupation.
