I really can't stop looking up information about WoW...I'm actually getting pretty excited about going back to WoW in a month or so, maybe less depending on how our finagling with getting internet in our new apartment goes. I would really like to start sometime this week or next, but I know that it may not be possible, especially if I want to take advantage of the "Recruit-a-Friend" bonuses. I actually have to wait for someone else to have time available and want to spend that time playing WoW... Sigh.
I've been looking into which servers would be good to play on, so I've been researching economy, raiding members of the server, population percentages, etc., and I think I've narrowed it down to a few good ones. I'll probably make a few alts on those servers and go check out the cities before I make my final decision. One thing is certain, though. It will definitely be a mostly Horde-populated server. I noticed on one of the server threads that people were talking about the Timeless Isle, and as it was something implemented after I had already quit the game, I got quite confused. I wound up looking a leveling guide that I'm planning on using once I get back up to that point. I'm hoping to have a few toons at 90 by the time WoD comes out, but how much time I actually wind up having once I move remains to be seen.

Considering going back to WoW, but starting fresh...?So my old account, that I truly love, is locked in a box, quite literally. I moved across the world, and my authenticator is in a box somewhere. Whoops. So I'm thinking of starting up a new account, especially when you consider that Warlord of Draenor is coming out soon, and if my character isn't level 90 (lol), then I'll be able to bump her up rather quickly.
I'm torn as to what class I would want to play, should I return to the game though. My initial thought was to remake my healing Monk, as that was the one class that I felt was quite different and unique, and I enjoyed leveling it, though I was never able to truly raid with her. My previous mains were a Frost PvP Mage and a Holy PvP/PvE paladin, in that order. I switched from my mage to my paladin due to healing deficiencies within our raid group. If I do decide to go with a monk, I'd probably go healing because that's what I enjoy, so I'm throwing a guide I found in here so I don't have to go hunting for it later. http://www.icy-veins.com/mistweaver-monk-wow-pve-healing-guide Truthfully, I really want to wipe out Garrosh and see the instances that have come out since I left over a year ago, and also to explore Draenor, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about the time commitment, especially considering that I would be playing from Hong Kong on a US server. A tad hard to raid with normal guilds, although I could look for one that did early morning raids, as that would be my night time. We'll see. Definitely Horde, though. And most likely, definitely undead female. Potentially Blood Elf female, but that depends slightly on racials and how they're planning on redoing the models for the undead. Heck, all the models look pretty cool, so I'll probably make one of each Horde race just so I can see what they will do now. Pretty cool. My favorites, in order, are (all female): Undead, Blood Elf, Troll, Orc, Tauren, Pandaren. The only reason those two are last, because really, they're all in very close contention, is because the female tauren are still quite large in size and I feel that female pandaren are overplayed. They are both quite cute races, but I aim to be feared, mwahahahaha. One thing that is quite nice is that they've mashed together all the expansions up to MoP in the Blizzard store, so it's now $20 to buy everything up to MoP and another $20 to buy MoP itself. I'll probably go buy it in a week or two. Sigh. |
